Chamber Members Stay Fit @ Work Event with TCS

Letterkenny Chamber collaborates with TCS to showcase local sports and fitness businesses

23 February 2023: Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) and Letterkenny Chamber have teamed up for their first ‘Stay Fit @ Work’ event which took place on Wednesday 22nd of February on the TCS campus. The aim of this collaboration was to promote and connect TCS with local fitness industry experts and Letterkenny Chamber members. The event was welcomed by TCS staff, as it reflected the strong emphasis within the company on encouraging and supporting well-being and fitness-based activity on campus and creating opportunities for positive lifestyle options for their employees.

Local industry experts with products and services to suit all levels of fitness showcased their offerings on the day. These included Letterkenny based companies Rushe Fitness, Zona Dance Studio, LK Bikes, Pinehill Studio, Brian McCormick Sports and Irish Physio supplies. Letterkenny is fortunate enough to be home to a large community of renowned fitness-based companies and experienced providers.

Commenting on the purpose of the ‘Stay Fit @ Work’ event, Toni Forrester, CEO of Letterkenny Chamber of Commerce said: “Many of our members are seeking opportunities to engage with the larger employers in the region – and larger employers, like TCS, wish to maintain strong connections to the local communities. Events like these are a great way for us as a Chamber to help create opportunities for members of all sizes and provide a way to connect, in person. We are thrilled to collaborate with TCS on the Stay Fit @Work event and hope everyone involved enjoyed the experience.”

This week’s event allowed those involved to connect with the campus of over 1,000 TCS employees of all ages, backgrounds and interests.

TCS offers a hybrid working model, to adapt to the needs of the modern workforce while retaining a strong sense of culture and community.

About the Participating Sports and Leisure Companies

Subsidised initiatives like the Bike to Work scheme which LK Bikes offer to professionals, encourage more movement and a unique way to enjoy the Donegal landscape.

Zona Dance Co run both adult and children’s dance classes from yoga, pilates, adult ballet, contemporary or jazz dance class, as well as parent and toddler events. Employees have their choice of classes near campus, including Rushe Fitness which is a stone throw away also located in the Enterprise Park.

For expert advice on the right apparel and footwear for all types of fitness, Brian McCormick Sports were on hand to provide specialist advice.

Pinehill Studio a family focused, purpose built dance studio – heavily involved in the Letterkenny community, offer kids and adults classes from hip hop to Irish dancing, as well as fitness classes, camps and a full suite of movement based activity.

Irish Physio supplies offer a great range of ergonomic products with next day delivery on equipment like muscle sliders, massage balls and medicine balls to name but a few items – to make sitting at a desk more comfortable, encourage movement and reduce stress.
