Founded by Oisin Crawford and Jason McGeehan in 2020, based in Milltown, Newmills.
Oisin and Jason – friends for over twenty years; are actively growing their business, regularly recruiting and have invested in specialist equipment. Oisin had an existing background in tree surgery, and Jason – had a background in farming before getting into tree surgery as well; they combined their skills from working together over the years and saw an opportunity to start their own business, MGC Tree Services.
While 2020 could be perceived as a risky time to start a business, Oisin and Jason identified that since people were outside so much more during this time, people were realising the need for tree surgery services from the point of view of aesthetic and safety purposes.
The pair have undertaken extensive, specialised training to ensure themselves and their team are top of their game in terms of safety, compliance and expertise. The team are constantly upskilling to maintain their craft and knowledge. MGC Tree Services are involved with key public sector contracts, as well as forestry, domestic/residential projects.
Oisin and Jason contribute to their community through regular sponsorship initiatives, and hope to expand their team in 2023. MGC Tree Services are an innovative young business with a great reputation for professionalism and a trustworthy, specialised service. Word of mouth has been their key marketing channel to date. The business trades predominantly in Donegal but take on national work where required.
