We recently met with Physiosupplies Founder – Owner, Sean Mc Fadden (Pictured) Sean is Letterkenny based; having returned to Letterkenny (where Sean’s family are originally from) in 2020.

As well as extensive international travel, Sean has spent a lot of his life in Dublin, graduating UCD as an Electronic Engineer and went on to Rollins University, USA to complete an MBA. Sean then began a career post-grad, as a fitness instructor in the US before moving back to Dublin – where, in 2005, he began coaching athletes for the Dublin Marathon. It was during this time where Sean identified a gap in the market for specialised fitness equipment, which was difficult to find, and Sean would go to great lengths to source for his clients, whether for training purposes or to ease injury, founding his previous company, IrishFit.
Sean realised that people at all levels of fitness and rehabilitation require specialised equipment that’s not always accessible within the Irish market. As well as coaching, Sean himself has completed several iron mans, triathlons and marathons and thus knew the equipment needs, inside-out. Sean was Race Director for the popular Santa Dash, and the Mooathon (-which was based outside the hilly roads beyond Kilmacrennan-) marathon and half marathons.
With this passion and track-record in the fitness industry and niche expertise in sourcing the specialised products over the years, Sean broadened his business offering to further supply and support the physio industry – both direct to consumer and with key relationships to the HSE, Clubs and Clinics – and Physiosupplies, was born. There was a lack of availability for certain products, in Ireland – and Sean wanted to meet the demands while supporting a ‘shop Irish’ ethos and delivering good products with stellar service. Sean and his wife, Petra – moved to Letterkenny during lockdown, and are delighted to live and work in Donegal, and are looking forward to getting involved with the business community. Sean is looking forward to working more closely with and supplying local businesses.
