Welcome New Chamber Member, Circet Design Hub Ireland – IDA Business Park, Lisnenan, Letterkenny.
We recently met with the team including Design Project Managers – Roisin McCullagh and Joanne Mullen – who told us about Circet’s leading role in the telecommunications, transport and power industry as well as the diverse roles and broad skillsets in the Circet Letterkenny Design Hub.
Circet Ireland & UK (formerly KN Group) are leading providers to the Telecommunications, Transport Infrastructure and Power Sectors in Ireland and the UK. Their focus is to provide fully managed services to the markets they serve, the Design and Innovation Hub established in 2019 provides turnkey designs contracts across Ireland and the UK.
In 2019, KN Group merged with French company Circet, with Donagh Kelly remaining as CEO. Already market leaders in Europe at that point, the merger provided scope for serving a wider market – catering to the domestic market, the UK, Europe as well as international expansion.
On growing the team in the IDA Business Park location, Donagh Kelly had said the Northwest is providing access to a high-quality workforce which is putting the region on the map for expanding businesses.
The expanding Design Hub team allows for an increase in scale and expertise offered to Circet clients, there is an emphasis on liaising with local educational training providers developing courses to help with upskilling and recruitment. Circet are consistently hiring – based on a combination of specific design skills as well as a willingness to learn.
The team have a huge culture of giving back, regularly engaging in local charitable initiatives and their team are encouraged to get involved in and suggest, charitable activities.
Circet solutions include, fixed telecoms, wireless, transport infrastructure, power and multimedia installations and are the number one network service provider. Circet UK and Ireland form part of being one of the biggest competitors in the global market, and work with a vast and recognisable portfolio of clients, such as Eir, Falcon and Virgin, Sky, BT and Vodafone – to name a few.
Roisin and Joanne, alongside Director of Planning and Design Greg Mullen – head up a team of over 80 in the Letterkenny based Design Hub, having grown it from 4 people, in 2017. Circet have an ever-expanding team of over 3,600 across UK and Ireland.
