Pinecrest Natural Skincare and Remedies
Pinecrest was founded by Moira 12 years ago, initially offering holistic therapies including reflexology. However, as time went on, the area of hormonal health became Moira’s passion. She went onto train in becoming a Holistic Fertility Practitioner, a Menopause Wellness Coach and studied the Fertile Body Method hypnosis for natural and assisted reproduction. It was from this that she wrote “The Optimum Fertility Programme.”
From her extensive knowledge of hormones, but also through encountering a wide range of skin types with different needs through the holistic therapies side of her business, Moira seen that there was a strong link between what we put on our skin and our health – both physical and mental. Through research, she found that certain cosmetics and every day personal care products were actually “endocrine disruptors” and were causing hormonal imbalances amongst other conditions.
Wanting to educate people on what they are putting on their bodies but also wishing to provide them with a natural alternative, Moira then studied and became a certified natural skincare formulator. Her first product, which is still popular amongst parents to this day, was her Top To Toe Baby Balm. From this, Moira wanted to expand into all age groups and needs.
Pinecrest’s most popular range is their Magnesium Body Butter range – formulated with the importance of magnesium for all the systems of the body in mind. There are currently four versions in this range (with more to come in future). These are:
- La Femme – for women’s hormonal health, particularly for symptoms of PMS and Menopause – such as hot flushes, headaches and low moods to name a few.
- Peaceful Night – To aid a restful night’s sleep and also may help with restless leg syndrome.
- Stay Active – With anti-inflammatory properties, this balm helps soothe joint pain but also aids muscle recovery after injury from exercise.
- Lullaby – To gently aid a restful night’s sleep for children.
