Welcome New Letterkenny Chamber Member – Tech Northwest Skillnet.
Tech Northwest Skillnet Network Manager, Siobhan Grant, ATU External Engagement Manager, Eve-Anne McCarron and, Tech Northwest Skillnet are delighted to welcome their new Network Administrator, Leona Dorrian – Leona brings a wealth of industry experience to the role.
Tech Northwest Skillnet is a network of companies in Donegal, Sligo and Leitrim who are focused on technology, innovation, and competitiveness.
Speaking about Tech Northwest Skillnet’s ongoing collaboration with Atlantic Technological University Donegal – which is the originator and promoter for the Tech North West Skillnet – ATU External Engagement Manager, Eve-Anne McCarron, comments;
“Tech Northwest Skillnet’s proactive approach to training, forms a key part of ATU’s external engagement in the region -it involves supporting industry, collaborating, developing opportunities, forging strong links, identifying and delivering upon industry skills needs. We work closely with Tech Northwest Skillnet, to support workforce learning, professional development and increase sector specific skills within the thriving industry clusters in our region.”
Tech Northwest Skillnet are part of, and co-funded by the national agency, Skillnet Ireland. Tech Northwest Skillnet’s mission is to facilitate increased participation in innovative enterprise training and workforce learning in the Northwest.
Siobhan and the team at Tech North Skillnet regularly partner and work with SME’s and key larger employers in the Northwest across Engineering, Manufacturing, MedTech, FinTech and InsurTech, RegTech, Retail and many more to promote and facilitate training opportunities that best suit the skills requirements of each company and their workforce.
Courses can be run in any topic of interest to companies, and carried out at a time and venue that suits employers and employees alike. Course fees are reduced due to the financial assistance from Skillnets and the economies of scale involved with the network.

TNWS aim to help businesses in the Northwest to be the best they can be by promoting and facilitating subsidised training for the workforce, to allow for people-development which creates retention and expansion. Future-proofing the required skillsets, maintaining and developing the existing skills, communicating with owners and managers to ensure relevancy and strategic planning for business growth.
