Based on the High Road, opened in Letterkenny early Summer 2022 – with a combined experience of 20 years in specialist alterations from formal wear to prom, bridal wear to everyday attire.
Pictured are Robertas and Rita, who Marie had the pleasure of meeting and learning about not only their extensive experience in alternations and dressmaking but also their heritage and passion for linen – Pearl Alterations also have a ready to buy linen selection and can alter linen (which they stock) to make custom items from bed-linen to soft furnishings, even baby accessories and bags!
Rita’s abundant creativity was evident throughout the Pearl Alterations beautiful premises – the attention to detail was incredible; from mended orders to the pre-made items; even the floral arrangements and curtains are Rita’s creations and her handmade jewellery can be seen in-store as well!
Pearl Alterations also offer embroidery; a very handy service coming up to Christmas for personalised gifts and monogramed items, particularly useful for new baby gifts!
Robertas has a background in finance and operations management and as well as driving the strategic business of Pearl Alterations has been instrumental in digital and business development challenges for businesses and peers in Dublin prior to moving to Donegal.
Robertas has remarked on the genuinely friendly nature of the local business community here in Letterkenny, helping to make their move a pleasant one – and himself and Rita are enjoying the positivity and pace of life here in Donegal.
